Gaël Faye : l'exil, le rap et l'écriture

Gaël Faye is a musician, composer, performer, and screenwriter. Born in Burundi to a Rwandan mother and a French father, he arrived in France in 1995 following the civil war and the genocide of the Tutsis in Rwanda. He has been writing since he was a child. Poems and music, rap and slam. In 2016, he published his first novel, "Petit Pays" (Grasset & Livre de Poche), in which he tells the story of his country and his childhood, before the bombings. In the fall of 2020, he published a children's picture book, "L'ennui des après-midi sans fin" (The Boredom of Endless Afternoons), with Hippolyte as the illustrator.
