This comes from comment sections of Limbo of the Lost videos. But it's very fitting for the game. Limbo of the Lost is an interesting curiosity in gaming history. Three friends worked on the game on and off for almost 20 years. It went through a few iterations. The released product in 2008? It steals assets up the wazoo. And it's not subtle about it either. Backgrounds, sound effects, models. Most coming from notable releases from the early to mid 2000s. This isn't a fan game. Limbo of the Lost was a full-fledged release. It had a publisher. People paid money for it. It didn't take long for the plagiarism to come to light, giving the game a great level of infamy. It's something I always had a curiosity in checking out. I'm seen the ending before...but what about what leads up to it? How do we get there? How is the game itself? Limbo of the Lost is a bizarre point & click experience. Now, point and click games can be bizarre with their puzzle logic, but Limbo can be in a different category. Egregious examples of pixel hunting that had me keeping a guide on hand at all times. Item combinations that don't make much sense. But despite all that, and the plagiarism, what's original within Limbo? It's eccentric cast of characters? One of the more likeable gaming protagonists I've come across? It's sense of humor? That's where the game steals my heart. Not all the time. Much of it can be nonsensical. But you have these flashes of charm and brilliance that I can't help but love. And I want you to experience that to with this video. We'll go through the good, the bad, and the bizarre of Limbo of the Lost. We'll also take a look at what went on behind the scenes. Who were the people behind Limbo? Why did the game take so long?
