Stone BBQ Build: Concrete Failure and Fixes | Off-Grid Log Cabin

Today I poured the concrete base for the firebox... and it didn't go as planned. The 42-inch span with no center support caused the slab to collapse. Classic mistake — I took a risk and it didn't pay off this time. But it's not a total loss. I'll reuse the broken concrete to line the bottom of the fire pit and keep moving forward. This is real homesteading — not everything works the first try. The important part is learning, adjusting, and not letting setbacks stop the project. Thanks for watching the process, wins and fails included. What do you think — ever had a building project go sideways?
