Sakleshpur Subrahmanya Ghat Section Train Ride || 956 To 121 Meters Descent With Braker Engines

A train journey through the spectacular Sakleshpur Subrahmanya ghat section on the Bangalore Mangalore railway line. The train descends from almost a kilometer in altitude at Sakleshpur to sea level by the time it reaches the port city of Mangalore. Braker/banker locomotives are used by trains in this section for added motive/braking power. This is the Bijapur Mangalore daily express train and is the best option if one wishes to see the ghat section at sunrise.
