🌴 Colombian Street Food Tour: A Taste of Cartagena You'll Never Forget! 🌴 #colombia #food #travel

🌴From the vibrant streets of Cartagena, Colombia, I cast away all concerns over calorie counting and dive mouthfirst into the walled city's whirlwind of crispy, sweet and savory flavors where every street corner and food cart revealed a culinary delight that left me wanting for more! 🛵🍴 My adventure started bright and early with a Colombian coffee and a crispy golden arepa de huevo for breakfast. The crispy crunch was absolute perfection! That paired with feeling the Caribbean breeze under a cool palm tree 🌴 was the best wake-up call I could ask for. Later, I indulged in a light and airy pandebono made from yuca floor, cheese and egg that really hit the spot in between meals. I then set out in search of the freshest fruit vendor selling mango, papaya, pina and watermelon . For lunch, I dove headfirst into the bold flavors of cocktail de camarón, served with perfectly fried patacones that were crispy, savory and satisfying. For dinner, I found the coolest spot where the locals eat and ate a plate of crispy mojarra (fried red snapper) with a side of arroz de coco which was a creamy dream that danced in perfect harmony with the fried fish. And the desserts? The sweet, sticky dulces de coco gave me the sugar rush I didn’t know I needed. Finally, to wash it all down, I went back over and over for a refreshing jugo de mandarina which cooled me off in the hot sun.
