Dioda ambiente - LED zamiast fabrycznej zaślepki w VW Golf MK7

Ever since I started driving a VW Golf MK7, I've been missing that tiny LED that delicately illuminated the center console in my previous cars. This subtle ambient glow is mainly reflected in the chrome elements and is only visible in complete darkness. It helps my eyesight not to get tired so easily. The VW Golf MK7, the VW Passat B8, the Skoda Superb 3, and other vehicles with the same light model don't have this LED. Interestingly, there's a factory-designated spot for it, so you can add it with very little effort. All you need is a white LED, a 7.5kOhm resistor, a few centimeters of cable, and you're done. ℹ️ There are 6 pins on this component's circuit board. Counting from the edge: pin 3 is TERM58, which illuminates buttons and dashboard elements, pin 4 is ground. ℹ️ The light in the video was disassembled because I bought a new one with the wrong color. I had to swap the cream elements for gray ones to match the car's interior. If I had been more careful with my purchase, this wouldn't have been a problem. But I probably wouldn't have discovered the ambient LED pre-installation. ℹ️ The VW Arteon had a version of the light with ambient lighting. However, the entire top panel lit up. It's likely that such a light can be adapted to other vehicles. 🛒 White LED on AliExpress: https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_ABZz4S ⚠️ A short circuit in the electrical system can damage the car's electrical and electronic components and even cause a fire!
