DRAMATIC LIGHT AND SHADOW | REALISTIC ACRYLIC PORTRAIT PAINTING ON PAPER BY DEBOJYOTI BORUAH

Subscribe: http://www.youtube.com/c/DebojyotiBor... A DRAMATIC LIGHT AND SHADOW on a face with Acrylic colors in a realistic style on paper. Acrylic paint usually dries fast. To overcome this challenge I am using a fine mist of water to keep the paint moist longer. I have elaborated my techniques of blending and shading using acrylic with water as the only medium. No retarder is used for this painting process. I have started this painting with a clear coat of Burnt Sienna and Yellow Ochre to cover the initial sketches of the face. Then I establish some of the darkest areas like hairs. I have applied many thin layers to achieve the desired effect of the skin tone.
