Onefin - PMD Gates to Infinity - Infinite Dungeon 1 & 2 Remix
Onefin - Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Gates to Infinity - Infinite Dungeon 1 & 2 Remix Headphone recommended. It's December, which means say hello to the holidays! And with it comes a little package of onefin winter fun. Now, that's not to say this is a special of sorts of anything. Rather, I made it for the Pokemon Holiday Megamix ( • POKÉMON HOLIDAY MEGAMIX 2016 ), a collection of wintertime Pokemon remixes being put together by the one and only AlmightyArceus. Since the Halloween Megamix in October was so largely successful, we figured we would put together another megamix of its kind, this time for the wondrous joy of winter, and this time I figured I would actually give it a go! That's not all there is to be said about this track, however, as there is another really big point of interest I must mention. The short description mentions that I converted an old original composition to make this - what does that mean? Well, before the NGUAC officially began, I was fiddling around in FL Studio and I wrote something that sounded pretty good! But then came round 1 of NGUAC, and the rules of that competition state that you can only submit tracks started during that round. I had to make something else, so I dropped my old, nearly completed project and started something new (that would become Asau). Then for the longest time I forgot about that project... Until now. Recently I decided to reopen it, and I realized that the beginning reminded me so much of Infinite Dungeon 1 from Gates to Infinity. The offbeat chords, the overall space-y atmosphere, and the first two notes of melody just rang Infinite Dungeon 1 to me. So... I decided to try something that I had never done before. Thus, I ended up making this by taking an original structure for an original composition and writing new, transcribed notes in place of the old ones. Then, slap some sleigh bells, and boom - a wintertime Pokemon remix. Perfect! It's actually really cool because it made the piece extremely liberal - not a single part of this is exactly reminiscent of the original two tracks, to the point where it could be considered nearly wholly original. I really liked that. So I went with it. Enjoy! Sorry for ranting :P LINKS: Free download: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste...
