Strange & Interesting Places In Fallout New Vegas

Subscribe, it's FREE! The Mojave Wasteland is a big place, filled with things that are easy to miss. Starting with some strange water at Blue Paradise Vacation Rental. Just south of Cottonwood Cove sits a collection of beach houses that have slowly sunk into the Colorado River, taking a couple of treasures along with them. The docks have since disappeared beneath the water; boats lie half submerged in the sand, and now they're home, not to people, but lakelurks. However, that's not the strange part. What is, is that for some reason the water inside the beach houses is radioactive. If you enter the flooded rooms, you'll begin taking one rad per second. Yet, if you swim just a few feet outside the buildings, in exactly the same river, the radiation disappears completely. While this is strange, what’s even stranger is you can actually drink the water inside the houses, the supposedly irradiated water, without taking any radiation damage. As far as I can tell, there's no environmental explanation for it, no nearby barrels of nuclear waste or anything along those lines to explain why this happens, so it’s most likely just an oversight from the developers. Doesn’t make it any less strange though.
