Restoration Rusty SHAMSHIR - FIERY Blade

Hi! Today, the restoration of the Shamshir saber. My friend gave me the scimitar and asked me to restore it. The condition is poor, the tip of the saber is broken (I am forbidden to use welding to lengthen the blade by a friend) The guard of the saber is also broken and rusty. Well, I'll fix it and restore it. The blade of the saber. My first duty was to use a rust remover. After the first cleaning, I used a soft iron brush. I sanded the surface of the saber with sandpaper and a polishing mixture. The shape of the blade is fiery (this is the first time I've seen it) and I decided to give the effect of fire by using copper plating. Next, he added a couple of patterns to the surface of the blade using electricity and salt water. I made the handle of the saber out of beech and brass rivets. I also used epoxy resin. After drying and processing, I covered the surface of the handle with eco stain and wiped it with linseed oil. The guard of the saber. First, I cleaned the guard with a rust remover and also cleaned it with an iron brush. Next, I adjusted the joints and re-welded everything. After that, I sanded and added patterns to the surface, which I filled with 80% brass and also added copper plating elements, and then cleaned to create the old effect. The scabbard of the saber. I used wood to create the scabbard of the saber. The surface was covered with red velvet, decorated with paint and transparent varnish on the back.
