Many are familiar with the magical patchwork technique known as "Chenille"! It creates incredibly beautiful fabrics, and craftswomen from all over the world sometimes seem to create masterpieces! But in reality, the technique is so simple and engaging that even a beginner can handle it! And that's great! Chenille is typically crafted using natural fabrics such as cotton, chintz, silk, chiffon, flannel, wool, calico, calico, cashmere (Pavlo-Passad shawl), satin, guipure, taffeta, lace, Denis (denim), and much more! But patchwork artisans are very inventive and find uses for virtually all types of fabric (not just natural fibers) in Chenille. However, they tend to overlook knitwear, as it's practically non-fraying and doesn't fringe... But today I want to prove the opposite and show that knitwear can also be used in creating such a fabric! Today I'm sewing a small piece; after all, this is an experiment! And it will be a seat (cover) for a stool! And I'll show you in two colors! I present to you my unconventional idea, called "KNITTED CHENILLE"! And while our beloved knitwear may not create a voluminous pile, it still produces a very unusual texture! If you don't want the edges to curl during further use, then you should maintain the weave's grain when cutting the strips! Today I mostly used the smallest scraps I had, and I didn't do that. But that doesn't bother me at all—let the seat pop with both the interesting zigzag cut and the playfully twisted lambskin!
