There is little to report on Mr. Country other than that he hailed from OKC and kicked off his career performing on the local radio station KLPR. This album is comprised mostly of self penned material rife with slowdance-tempo honky tonk numbers and local allusions i.e., gold, gas, and truckin'. The album was maybe reaching for the ever formidable Nashville Sound with impeccable production and musicianship but falls short at the string synth and sparse instrumentation, lending the sound a homemade quality that is charming at worst.
