UPDATE: I'm Allergic to Makeup | Lash Glue

Wow, you guys! Thank you so much to everyone that has reached out to me regarding these allergies. I never expected such a response and in a weird way, it's really comforting knowing I'm not the only one going through this! I have been really frustrated these past few months knowing and facing the fact that I'm allergic to something that I love. My daily routine has drastically changed in order to wear eye makeup. Let me correct myself, eye shadow specifically. I have found some solutions and would love to share them with you all. These are what work for me, please advise your Doctor before trying any of my ideas out. Lash Glue Allergy: I found out I was suddenly allergic to Formaldehyde. I learned the hard way by using my lash glue (that I have used for YEARS) and waking up to my eyelids swollen, red, and rashy. PHOTO included in this video. I was actually really embarrassed and contemplated whether or not to include it here, but I wanted you guys to see the extent of this allergy. What probably didn't help at the time was that I was also balling my eyes out thinking I was never going to be able to wear lashes again. It's silly when I actually think about it now. Thankfully I was able to find 2 types of glue that do not contain Formaldehyde. These are what I use now: DUO Brush-On Adhesive with Vitamins (white box with green font) DUO Individual Lash Adhesive, Clear (white box with purple font) Eyeshadow Allergy: My most frustrating allergy! I have included my step by step routine to show you how I am currently able to wear eyeshadow. It's seems ridiculous, but as I have said many times before, I love makeup, I don't want to stop wearing makeup, so I'm going to do whatever it takes to still wear it! Here is my step by step process: 1. Wash face/eyes with CeraVe Hydrating Bar 2. Apply CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion 3. Apply a small amount of Tacrolimus Ointment (prescribed by dr.) 4. Apply Primer, Mirabella Face Primer 5. Apply Concealer, MAC Pro Longwear Let me know if you guys have any questions or maybe some of you have some advice! I would love to hear from all of you.
