Comparing the BKR9000, VP8000, APX8000, and XL-200 all band radios. Pros and cons
Guys, I got distracted and missed a very important feature on the Kenwood VP 8000. It has multi protocol options. You can buy it with DMR, P 25, conventional, and NEXDN Kenwood’s digital protocol. This is a big oversight on my part, so my apologies. I want to share my impressions of four top-tier all band radios. Each radio has a strength in each radio has some significant weaknesses, and these are my own impressions, and opinions so if you disagree, please post in the comments below and let’s learn. The radios I’m comparing are: BK Technologies BKR9000 Motorola APX8000 Kenwood VP8000 Harris XL-200 Each radio has a strong following, and it’s always great to see competition and preference differences shine through.
