$7 vs $250 Atlantis Excursion in Nassau… Was It Worth the Risk?

Today in Nassau, Bahamas we decided to skip the $250 cruise excursion to Atlantis and try getting there ourselves for just $7. I’ve wanted to visit Atlantis ever since I saw it in the Mary-Kate and Ashley movie as a teenager, and today we finally made it happen — but not without a little uncertainty along the way. We took a budget ferry from the cruise port, explored the aquarium, walked the resort, checked out Aquaventure, visited the beach, and even stumbled into areas we didn’t expect to access (pure luck!). This DIY excursion could have gone completely differently, but it turned into one of our favorite port days.
