EP3 of my Vietnam “Connection” series — Saigon. After feeling crushed in Hanoi, I met her unexpectedly and made a decision that wasn’t like me: I booked a flight and invited her to Ho Chi Minh City. We spent three days together — from breaking the ice, to warming up, to living inside a dream-like bubble of connection that lit me up. But after we returned to real life, we didn’t stay together. We slowly faded and stopped talking. It didn’t last — but it was real. And it changed the way I see connection.
