It's difficult to see both lakes in one day using public transportation alone, so I recommend visiting one of them. ▶How to Get to Eibsee from Munich ①To Garmisch-Partenkirchen Travel Time: Approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes one way Train: RB (Munich → Garmisch-Partenkirchen) Train Ticket: Bayern-Ticket (1-day validity) - Available from vending machines Round-trip Fare: 1 person: EUR 27 2 people: EUR 36 For three people: EUR 45 (as of November 2023) Note: Tickets are valid after 9:00 AM on weekdays and any time on weekends. Note: You will need to write your name on the ticket, so please bring a pen. ②To Eibsee Journey time: Approximately 30 minutes one way Bus: EIBSEE Bus Note: Get off at the last stop. Note: The bus stop for Eibsee Station at Garmisch-Partenkirchen Station is Bahnhof (Post), Garmisch-Partenkirchen ▶From Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Ehrwald Journey time: Approximately 25 minutes one way Train: RB (Garmisch-Partenkirchen → Ehrwald Zugspitzbahn) Train ticket: Bayern-Ticket is accepted. Note: It's a one-hour walk from Ehrwald Zugspitzbahn Station to the cable car station, so take bus number 3 from the train station to Ehrwald.
