Stranger Than Fiction? | Tiny Norfolk Cottage Garden

Fledgling garden tour | Whitsun Well Dressing | stone charms | river magic | the mystery rose revealed Down a quiet North Norfolk lane lies an old blacksmith’s dwelling - or more properly the home of his ‘striker’ - who between them worked the ancient forge. Sitting deep in the countryside between the canal and the sea, I came to this part of Norfolk knowing next to nothing about it, but it’s since become the place I love most. Just as well, since the initial move here - to an old village shop - was a leap in the dark after the trauma of treble bereavement and the knowledge that I had to leave my old home. I’m an artist (MA Fine Art) and writer with a lifelong passion for archaeology, magic, folklore, prehistory, all things medieval and pagan Anglo-Saxon, the wild, the sea, herbs and stars. Since Lammas 2020 I’ve been sharing snippets of my journey. And now my world has been transformed again and new delights and the pushing of imagined limits seem to be the order of the day. Come and join me, both in the tiny new cottage garden and further afield, as we taste the delights of an English May. If you enjoy the videos and would like to support the making of them, I just wanted to let you know that I now have a page where you can buy me a coffee should you wish. And you know how much I love coffee! Thank you so much, if you choose to do this now and again. Buy me a coffee: https://www.buymeacoff... Bracken & Wrack is my Substack newsletter where I share a magazine-style offering each new and full moon. Landscape, magic, recipes, seasonal musings, wild saints. There’s less focus on the cottage and more on the folklore under our feet, including extended coverage of some of the little adventures we touch on in the videos. It’s delivered straight to your inbox, is free to subscribe, and you can sign up over at imogenashwin.substack.com.
