THIS RECLAIMED WOOD had the most stunning SECRET inside!!

This old wooden guitar shop sign had reached the end of its working life, but I couldn't help wondering what might be hiding beneath the surface. In this woodturning project I break down the reclaimed timber and transform it into a matching platter and six plates, uncovering some truly stunning grain along the way. What started as a weathered sign soon revealed colours, figure and character that had been hidden for years. Sometimes the best woodturning blanks come from the most unexpected places!
