The Ultimate Union Pacific 4014 Chase: Lancaster, NY to Sayre, PA

If you would have told me last year that I would be chasing 4014 across NY, I never would have believed you....but here we are. After a long drive from Northwestern Vermont, I made it to Buffalo NY where I would spend the night. I awoke early the next morning and was able to set up early along Erie St in Lancaster where I would catch 061 for the first time. When I saw that people were crowding at the crossing, I moved a little farther down the road to a better location. Lancaster was a very popular location and not a lot of brain cells sadly. Pretty much everyone decided to stand ON the tracks even as the train was in the crossing circut. I was sure I was about to see someone get hit here. Thankfully nothing happened and I set off on my chase. This chase went as well as it could even with the huge crowds at every town. Pretty much every town I passed through was out to see the train. Even the schools were doing field trips to see it go by.
