TABS TAS: Reboot Announcement.

A VERY SHORT SHOWCASE!!! This is not everything, but a lot of works throughout the months cramped into 4 minutes :,) Hello again, it has been 2 years since the last TABS The Animated Series episode. And I'm afraid there won't be any others... Under the same title :) I took a long, 6 months break from everything back in 2025 to focus on my examinations and university stuffs, and, ever since I came back at the end of the year, I took my time and looked back at Episode 1, 2, and presumably 3. It felt like all of that was getting old, and outdated after such a long time (the plot was made back in April 2021). The story didn't do it for me anymore, it was getting dark, it was becoming more complex yet so easy to predict. It did not feel silly, it did not feel like a magical fantasy, it started to lack fun, enjoyment, energy and life as I went on into production. With the disappearance of Kal Widorn (the original main writer), the series had truly lost its soul and core. But hey, you still have me, not giving up just yet. During the final months of 2025, plus the early ones of 2026, I've been working on rebuilding everything from scratch. The general plot has been renewed with various changes to the vibe and story, new original plotlines have also been added along with adjustments to the pacing of the episodes. Episode 3 has been reworked as well, other than the newly rewritten script, it will also feature our new art & animation style for the show. This new reboot style was made to effectively maximize quality and speed, while keeping the character EXTREMELY consistent throughout the animation. It is basic, clean, it is cartoonish, and it does not restrict us to realistic anatomy but instead allows noodle & exaggerated structures which makes things much easier to deal with. Such a fresh way to see our familiar characters again. The background arts has also received an upgrade (And will be made by a very cool person in the TABS Community). Lighting + shading has overgone tests and shall be brought to the table as well. Audio has been GREATLY improved. A new (short) list of OSTs are ready to be used. The worldbuilding has been shifted to a more magical/fantasy approach. And the show's world will be mostly a combination of TABS and PEAK, with some other games. (For anyone wondering what happened to the old/original Episode 3, it has been scrapped but I can't show you anything from it as it still contained major spoilers for what's coming. Other than that, only a few screenshots of it are left available as of now). Now that you have got to know this, I have only been working on the new Episode 3 for a few months until now. AND THIS EPISODE IS 50 MINUTES LONG (It is technically the first episode of the remastered show so it has to be long to get you used to the changes), so it will take a long long time to fully be finished. Still, as planned, I will cut it into many parts and release each 6-10 minutes of the episodes slowly through this and next year. Coming up next is our 5-6 minutes first look into the episode, so make sure you're around to catch that! (P/S: Episode 3, despite being a soft reboot for the entire series, will still continue where Episode 2 previously left off.) Looking at the 2 previous episodes you may have noticed that I marked them as "Pilots" now, even though it's no longer the path that we walk, they still exist as part of the production, as a tribute to everything we built during that time. It is time we look forward to seeing something better come out of it.
