The owner of a clothing store on Sojiji-dori Shopping Street in Monzencho, Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture, has been documenting and sharing information about the area around Sojiji Temple Soin Temple, the shopping street, and the activities of the Wajima City Fire Department Monzen Branch, from the time of the earthquake to the present, in order to help with recovery. During the last earthquake (off the Noto Peninsula) that occurred 17 years ago, I feel like many people declined interview requests due to concerns about negative rumors. But I believe we absolutely cannot do the same thing with this earthquake. Then, on September 21st, heavy rains hit Noto. Monzencho, Wajima City, became a doubly affected area. I would like to continue recording this.
