The 'First Hub & Spoke Flight Connecting Varanasi to the World via Delhi' was inaugurated on June 25. Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu and Air India CEO & MD Campbell Wilson on June 25 attended the inauguration ceremony . Ganga Aarti was also performed at inauguration ceremony of 'First Hub & Spoke Flight Connecting Varanasi to the World via Delhi'. Under the hub-and-spoke model, 'spoke' cities like Varanasi are connected to major 'hub' airports such as Delhi. Travellers can complete immigration formalities at originating airport, and can transit through 'hub' airports as int’l travelers. While speaking at the event Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu said that Varanasi will get facilities similar to Delhi Airport.
