Collectors from far and wide had been searching for Darondo but he was nowhere to be found. After searching for nearly four years and calling every Pulliam in California, Justin Torres and I received a phone call one morning. It was Darondo's son, letting us know that he had heard our message and that his father was willing to give an interview. We packed our bags and headed out. Two hours into the interview, we humbly asked him to sing Didn't I. The above video was Darondo's first time singing this legendary song in over twenty years.
