L.G. Wise - Change 1998

Austin, Texas. Grapetree Records. Brandon Dawson was a born in Belhaven, North Carolina. However, he spent most of his life in Brooklyn NY. By age 11, L.G. Wise was already carrying guns and transporting crack cocaine and marijuana from Brooklyn, NY to North Carolina. At the age of 18, after many juvenile offenses, he was facing 25 years to life at Riker’s Island Penitentiary for various crimes. It was at his lowest point in life that L.G. Wise cried out to God from a cell block at Riker’s Island. His prayer was, “God, if you get me out of this situation, I will do what you want me to do, say what you want me to say, and go where you want me to go.” God was faithful to answer the prayer of this inmate, and standing before a judge, L.G. Wise was granted time served and was free to go.
