🚧 Temporary divertion! Trains diverted to middle track at Fo Tan Station - MTR East Rail Line

This video was filmed on 2022/11/01. After the East Rail Line was extended to Admiralty, all old stations will be retrofitted with platform gate doors. The work started a few years ago and it is expected to be in service in 2023 at some stations. Stations that have multiple platforms can allow work done during the daytime. Most of the time, only the platform being worked on is closed. This is a perfect example of that. All trains bound for Sheung Shui between 9am to 4pm were diverted to the middle platform. Trains only open one side of doors to prevent passengers from taking the wrong direction train.
