🔴LIVE: San Antonio police respond to officer involved shooting & barricade suspect | FOX 10 Phoenix

San Antonio Police and SWAT have deployed "The Rook" Armored Critical Incident Vehicle to the active standoff on the city's far North Side. This heavily armored tactical vehicle by Ring Power is being used to safely approach the barricaded home following the shooting of an SAPD officer. The incident began around 12:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Red Hawk Ridge, near Hardy Oak Boulevard. According to SAPD Chief William McManus, an officer was shot and wounded; their current condition remains unknown. As the suspect remains barricaded inside, tactical units are using The Rook's mission-specific attachments to handle the perimeter, shield officers, and manage the high-risk environment. Multiple neighborhood residents have already been evacuated.
