You can use Rusticide chemical (Rust remover and Passivator) of any company to remove the rust of steel bar. RUSTICIDE is sulphate and chloride free liquid which removes rust and prevents further rusting of steel.( IS 9077 : 1979 ) INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE : • First remove the loose rust by mechanical means like wire brushing, chipping, hammering etc depending on the extent of corrosion. • Using Spry Bottle or painting brush, apply sufficient RUSTICIDE on the affected Reinforcement Steel Bars. • Leave it in contact with the surface till the red colour of the corroded surface has changed to nearest original black. Excess application may sometimes give whitish black surface. • After a minimum of 24 hours remove the freed loose rust particles by wire brush. • Sometimes after treatment of loose particals, reddish rusted surface is still exposed. This has to be retreated with RUSTICIDE. COVERAGE : Depending upon rusting 1 Litre RUSTICIDE cover 7 to 8 m² surface.
