They Shall Pass - an update on Kingston, Ontario's La Salle Causeway 4K

Kingston, Ontario October 16th, 2024 The first removal and replacement of the temporary bridge on the La Salle Causeway has been executed professionally and well by Western Mechanical Millwright and Electrical Services, ably supported by the Captain and crew of the tug Radium Yellowknife and employing the barge Radium 604. The importance of the work to commercial vessels requiring attention in the only dry dock in Eastern Ontario was immediately obvious when three exploited the opening within hours of it appearing. Another opening is scheduled for mid November.
