Audio Fidelity Records - Stereo Spectacular Demonstration & Sound Effects (7½ips Analog Tape)

Realistic Stereo Spectacular Demonstration & Sound Effects (7½ips Analog Tape) The record version of this started it all for me. I heard it in the fifth grade which ultimately lead me to a career of living in recordings studios. This tape version has some changes. Peter Allen shared his voiceover duties with another voice to help rebrand this album from Audio Fidelity Records to Realistic Audiophile Series. They’ve also deleted the sine wave section. I’m kinda glad they did. This album was scripted by Tom Wilson who went on to be one of the ’60’s biggest and influential record producers with a stack of classic albums seven feet tall. I highly recommend you look him up and give his work a listen. There is a lot of track bleed on this tape. You will hear side 2 playing backwards in the distance. This is the loudest instance I’ve ever encountered. I adjusted the tape head alignment without hearing any improvement. See, this is the fun of 65 year old consumer audio tapes. Learn to love it like you’ve learned to enjoy the quiet whisper of tape hiss or record sizzle with your music now. I was always curious about this tape, so when I got my tape machine I started looking for a reasonably priced copy on eBay. Here you go. Enjoy! (And look for my transfer of the vinyl 1st pressing. I got a surprisingly clean transfer that cleaned up nicely.)
