HOW TO: Haltech Rotational Idle/Ghost Cam In Under 15 Minutes (Haltech Elite ECU - RB25DET)

Since my last video about the rotational idle function sparked so much conversation(!) I thought I would go into more detail showing how to set it up and the process to tweak it based on your own preferences. This is done using my Haltech Elite 2000 ECU but it should also be applicable to the Elite 1500 and Elite 2500 ECUs as well as the Nexus R3 and R5. It's certainly not everyone's cup of tea and I even state in the video that I don't want it on all the time - so I ended up adding a switch to turn the effect on and off when I want. Rotational idle, also known as "ghost cam", was used historically in rally cars to aid cooling however now that most modern aftermarket ECUs come with it on-board, many people now have access to this function and want to use it simply to create a lumpy idle - much the same as having large, aggressive cams. ☕ Fuel the channel (and my caffeine habit) → Buy me a coffee! https://ko-fi.com/streetsyndicate In this video I explain: 01:49 - How to enable Rotational Idle in the Haltech Elite series of ECUs 04:40 - Injection cut example 06:10 - Ignition cut example 07:49 - Adjusting zero demand ignition timing 08:47 - Adjusting fueling 09:43 - Examples with different settings 10:20 - Using VCT/Variable Cam Timing at idle to add valve overlap 12:42 - Final settings Join Us! http://www.streetsyndicate.com.au   / streetsyndicateau     / stagbois     / streetsyndicateau     / stagpartspete   Music Sylendanna - There's A Ghost In My Dreams And Its Staring At Me Right Down The Hallway   / sylendanna     / sylendanna     / sylendanna
