First taste of percolator coffee/ the difference to drip coffee 10/4/24

10/4/24. Recently bought a Presto 12 cup stainless steel percolator. This morning was my first experience with the percolator. I had been drinking drip coffee for a while, and even that after experimenting with different filters, coffee, grind size ( grind my coffee beans everyday) ...I got a good taste. I decided to check out the percolator, to see if I could get more taste from the coffee. Well, I did everything new today, honey ( I use only honey in my coffee) was different and brewing the coffee. 1) percolator gives a hotter cup of coffee (2) it seems stronger ( I use the same med dark roast as always and same grind setting. (3) I noticed that I didn't get an aftertaste from the med dark roast that I got with the drip pot. (4) the only other time I didn't get an aftertaste was with a blonde roast and a dark Italian roast. (5) since everything was new today, tomorrow I will use the drip pot and see (6) I use fresh Roasted Specialty Coffee to order, so I know that the coffee is ok.
