Where The Streets Have No Name - GOD IN HELL | U2

A song that almost ended up in the trash for being too complex? 🗑️🎸 "Where The Streets Have No Name" is one of U2's biggest anthems, but recording it for The Joshua Tree album was an absolute nightmare. Producer Brian Eno got so frustrated trying to get the band to lock into the complex time signatures and structure that he was on the verge of literally throwing the master tapes away and starting from scratch. Luckily, an audio engineer physically stepped in to stop him, saving one of the most iconic intros in music history. 😮✨ The original track delivers a sense of spiritual freedom and light, but for this GOD IN HELL version, we wanted to flip it completely on its head. We’ve taken that famous atmosphere and transformed it into a dense, dark, and crushing sonic storm. It’s still a journey to where the streets have no name, but this time, the road cuts straight through hell! 🤘💀 What do you think of this clash between stadium rock and extreme metal? We want to hear from you!
