“Parking brake temporarily unavailable” warning in Volvo
If you see the “Parking brake temporarily unavailable” warning on the dash of your Volvo car, it’s most likely the problem with the auxiliary battery voltage. The parking brake system relies on the power from that battery to operate and it will fail once the system detects low voltage. Alternatively, you may experience this issue due to a problem with the software in your car. There is a recent update for the parking brake system software and you should try installing it in the dealership. In this video, I will tell you how you can try and install it for free. I hope this helps you get it done by Volvo. In this video, I will explain to you why this may be happening with your car and will give you several ideas on how you can solve the problem.
