Mamelodi Hostage Situation | Police remain firm on the ground

A woman believed to be the mother of a police constable who's holding his family hostage in Mamelodi east of Pretoria says she's tired and pleaded for help. She told the SABC News crew during a telephone conversation that she wants to be released, and that his son be allowed to address the media camping outside their house about his frustrations. His mother is among the three family members who have been held hostage since this morning. It is alleged that a family dispute could have led to the hostage situation.
