Awesome Lake Nipissing Opener! **Walleye *TITech Fan Unboxing *Diesel Heater Problems *Cooking**

Rob and I take you out to Lake Nipissing on January 1st to celebrate the new year and the first day of the Lake Nipissing ice fishing 2026 season. We make the trek out on to the ice dragging our sleds full of gear behind us and backpacks filled to the brim in order to set up and camp on the ice overnight. After clearing a nice flat spot free of snow and ice from the last storm, we roll out the ice tent and fasten it to the ice. Rob starts working on getting the diesel heater and the Big Buddy heater started while I start unloading and setting up the inside of the tent. It didn't take us very long to realize that both of our heat sources were not working... We had to make the decision, do we stay or do we go? It was predicted to be -27C overnight so we needed at least one of the heat sources to cooperate with us. So far, we weren't having any luck!
