During all these proceedings, it became clear that a public survey and an environmental study should have been conducted first. Her neighbor has already built a high-rise building behind the fence. Moreover, it violated the law – the high-rise is located too close to a private home, which was confirmed by the State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate (GASK). How can that be? It's a complete joke. According to residents of private homes, the developers are offering them compensation, but the money isn't enough to buy equivalent housing. The developers themselves have not commented on the situation. TATYANA KALYUZHNAYA – CORRESPONDENT Work on developing detailed planning plans, which are intended to lead to the renovation of old residential areas of Kostanay, began about two years ago. In December 2022, the Akim of the Kostanay region announced the authorities' intention to stimulate commercial housing construction, including through the demolition of existing private housing. The regional akimat emphasizes that everything is being done within the framework of the general plan.
