猟師の私設テーマパーク廃墟を訪ねる【元珍スポットHM村】
HM Village was a mini theme park and exhibit center about the lives of hunters in Tochigi Prefecture. A former tourist website describes it as "a place where you can see the lives of refugees who fled to this area" and "wax figures recreate the hunting and farming lifestyles of hunters." The village is comprised of a row of small huts: Building 1: Bird and Animal Museum; Building 2: Hunter's Tool Making Hut; Building 3: Butchering Hut; Building 4: Hunter's Ceremony Site; Building 5: Refuge; and Building 6: Shrine? The exhibits included: Building 7: Village Mayor's House, Building 8: Pit Dwelling, Building 9: Miso Storehouse, Building 10: Horse Stable, Building 11: Silkworm Shed, Building 12: Japanese Pepper and Medicinal Herb Processing Hut, Building 13: Traditional Crafts Hut, Building 14: Antique Collection, Building 15: Leather Shop, Building 16: Fox and Raccoon Huts, Building 17: Wood Saw Hut, and Building 18: Wooden Ladle Hut. Other exhibits included a mini zoo housing mountain pheasants, Kumataro's house, a doghouse, and a treasure shed not open to those under 18. It was a beloved and unusual spot, but it closed in 2017. Some of the exhibit huts are partially destroyed.
