Josh Voigt is an alum of Waterford Kamhlaba having graduated in 2015. Josh grew up in South Africa, where he studied at mostly white all-boys schools from 2008 to 2011, following which he moved to Waterford. Josh now studies at Wartburg College in the United States of America and serves as the Diversity Chair on the school’s Student Senate. Josh hopes to insight acknowledgement, understanding, and acceptance of differences between people around the world. In his talk, Josh outlines the importance of forming relationships with people whom you disagree with. Inspired by both his childhood experiences and the political polarization caused by the U.S Presidential Election, he conveys the message that his idea is more beneficial than it is detrimental.
