Mourning in Masculinity (Megalo Box)
Every once in a while, a show catches my attention by telling an authentic and relatable story. Megalobox is one of these shows. Particularly season 2, where many of the characters from the original series undergo massive developments in their character arcs. But it is the arcs of the male characters that left leave the strongest impression on me. This video discusses these characters and how a cyberpunk-esque setting can explore themes of grief and trauma through the lens of masculinity and Blackness.
