第11回 さつき盆栽展／さいたま市大宮盆栽美術館

From May 22 to May 31, 2026, the 11th Satsuki Bonsai Exhibition was held at the Omiya Bonsai Art Museum in Saitama, with the cooperation of Isobe Ryokuen. During the ten-day exhibition, the displays were changed once, allowing visitors to enjoy a total of 18 outstanding bonsai displays. In this video, we present the nine displays featured during the second half of the exhibition. Satsuki azaleas are among the finest flowering bonsai, admired for their brilliant blossoms and remarkable diversity. From powerful, traditional forms with massive trunks to imaginative contemporary designs, each tree expresses the unique vision and artistry of its creator. On the final day of the exhibition, May 31, visitors also enjoyed the annual post-bloom maintenance demonstration by Shigeo Isobe, who shared professional techniques for caring for Satsuki bonsai after flowering.
