That's How You Learn - Episode 6: Dielectric Testing and the Hazardous Locations Lab
For episode 6, we met Carol Smith in UL Headquarters in Northbrook, IL, who was kind enough to walk us through a demonstration of dielectric testing. Carol also discusses why this type of test is so important, and how it prevents shock. We also had a chance to visit the Hazardous Locations lab at UL, where our new friend Tim explained how he helps test samples for products that are going to go into potentially explosive work environments. For this episode we also introduce a new segment called "Fun Facts & Learned Lessons", and we had the opportunity to learn a little about circuit breakers thanks to our friend James from UL in Melville, NY. Sounds like a busy day, don't you think? UL Safety Smart presents That's How You Learn - a web series for kids, adults, and science enthusiasts of all ages.
