Lazy-spa Hydrojet Pro - E02 fault find - pump failure

Root cause analysis before E02 trip is due to ruptured plastic filtration 12v pump motor armature. The ruptured plastic is caused by water ingression into the permanent magnet/s in the armature, swelling the armature plastic. Rupturing suspected cause is armature overheat from numerous E02 trippages across 2 year's operation. When 12v power is applied, the armature goes into a locked rotor condition (seized) and does not rotate. As it does not rotate, the initial override timer for E02 flow condition OK times out, because there's no discharge flow, and trips out the system on fault E02. SOLUTION: Replace the armature (with fixed impellor) or the whole pump, Model #58113 filter pump, 12Vdc, 50Hz, 50W, IPX7. Thanks for reading and enjoy your Hydrojet Spa !
