Notable Trees of the African Bush E20: Mouse-Eared Combretum/Combretum hereroense

Mice, it's true, do have cute-shaped ears. And this tree's leaves look astonishingly similar to those mousy ears. Add to this the fact that it's a potent medicinal plant, has a beautiful grey-green colour, and is found in some startlingly stunning landscapes in Africa, and you can see why I love it so much. This was shot on a trip to Mudumu National Park, in the Zambezi region of Namibia.
