在石屏的几天，日子变得很慢。没想到，这里竟成了云南红河州之行的意外之喜。 多年以来，我一直为那些被时间浸透的地方着迷，所以很喜欢古城、古镇之类。可惜近些年来，想找到一个不那么商业化却仍有烟火气的去处，越来越难。而石屏，恰好满足了我对一座古城的念想。 先说热闹的一面。比起大理、丽江，石屏无疑是冷门的，即便和相邻的建水相比，这里的商业化程度也更低。但小城也不缺烟火气，每逢阳历逢5、逢10的赶集日，周边的农户便挑着山货药材、背着农副产品涌进古城，整整一天都能在街巷里看见他们的身影。石屏的赶集是我见过最有特色的之一，很多土特产我从前连名字都没听过。就连这里的豆腐，也和建水的不太一样，最特别的是“爆米花豆腐”，小小一粒，烤着烤着就变得很大。 热闹之外，石屏更适合安静地走。古城规模很大，老建筑随处可见，随意在巷子里走走，街道密密匝匝，一不小心就会迷路。而且古迹不只藏在城里，连周边的村子里，也静静立着国保级的文物。 如果说古城是惊喜，那异龙湖更是意外的收获。傍晚的异龙湖格外动人，沿着湖边慢慢走，看着太阳落下，天空和湖面从橙色渐渐染上粉色。湖面安静，天色变换，看着看着，就忘记了时间。 In Shiping, the days slowed down. I didn’t expect this place to become the unexpected highlight of my trip to Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan. For years, I’ve been drawn to places soaked in time—ancient towns and old streets. But lately, it’s become harder to find a spot that isn’t overly commercialized yet still full of everyday life. Shiping, however, fulfilled exactly what I long for in an ancient town. Let me start with the lively side. Compared to Dali or Lijiang, Shiping is undoubtedly off the beaten path. Even next to neighboring Jianshui, it’s far less commercialized. Still, the town has no shortage of local energy. On market days (every 5th and 10th of the month by the solar calendar), farmers from the surrounding hills pour into the old town with baskets of wild herbs and homegrown goods. You can spot them in the alleys all day long. Shiping’s market is one of the most distinctive I’ve ever seen—I hadn’t even heard of many of the local products before. Even the tofu here is different from Jianshui’s. The most unusual is “popcorn tofu” – tiny little pieces that puff up big when grilled. Beyond the bustle, Shiping is even better for quiet wandering. The old town is large, with old buildings everywhere. Stroll aimlessly through its dense lanes, and you’ll easily get lost. And historic relics aren’t confined to the town itself—even in the surrounding villages, nationally protected sites stand silently. If the ancient town was a pleasant surprise, Yilong Lake was an unexpected bonus. The lake is especially beautiful at dusk. Walking slowly along its shore, watching the sun set, the sky and water gradually shift from orange to pink. The lake is calm, the colors change, and before you know it—you lose track of time.
