I’ve distilled Piper kadsura (Japanese pepper) harvested from the forests of the southernmost tip of the Izu Peninsula. Piper kadsura is a type of "forest pepper" that grows wild along Japan's warm coastal regions. I was able to extract a small amount of essential oil and a floral water that carries a scent of awakening wildness—exotic with a hint of spiciness.
