Our Kūpuna (Elders) are the cultural experts here in Kaʻu on the island of Hawaiʻi. With guidance from their ancestors, they have gained a lifetime of experience and wisdom when it comes to preserving and perpetuating the traditional cultural lifestyle. Their kuleana (responsibility) is being threatened by outside entities who claim to know what is best for the people of Kaʻū. Nā mamo a ke kipi Kaʻū Kū Makaha Kūʻē have been awakened.
