Offshore trip in the Cayman 226 with a surprise catch

residentdawgfishing.myshopify.com My son wanted to fish Offshore so we planned this trip and made it happen. I am not an "offshore" guy. I know the basics so we just went for it. launched at Lavenders Landing in Bokeelia and headed for the Gulf. The plan was to hit some of the Lee County Public reefs, Started at the Arc reefs sites that did not go well. I simply could not find the structure. I looked in to the GPS and saw a spot that the previous owner of my Robalo Cayman 226 left in there, so we headed that way. Found the structure and it was ON. Lots of small yellowtail Snapper, some of which were close to legal size but they all went back. Some decent lane Snappers, that became blackened fish tacos, a couple Mangrove snappers, close to legal but not quite. The real surprise was the Hog Fish I landed.
