How to Refinish Cutting Boards and One Major Tip for Preservation

Today we have two boards in need of some reconditioning. Whether you are restoring, seasoning, reconditioning or refinishing, the goal is basically the same - get the old board looking new. We'll take you through a step by step process to refinish cutting boards like a pro. We will demonstrate on two different boards that have been favorites for years and seen a lot of knife action. Use the in-video chapters to click around and see which parts of the process apply to your situation. We will demonstrate and drop helpful hints along the way. You may not wish to do any sanding and that is completely fine! Just getting new oil into the board is by far the most important step here. We'll use Howard cutting board oil and Howard food grade wax to make this board more impervious to moisture.
