Webinar on the 'Production of tailored made fertilisers from biorefinery' | ESNI Community

On 20 January 2025, the European Sustainable Nutrient Initiative (ESNI) organised a webinar on the "Production of tailor made fertilisers (TMF) from biorefinery". The webinar was set up by the ESNI Working Group on Agronomic Performance of Alternative Fertilisers, chaired by Kari Ylivainio Kari (LUKE, Finland). During this webinar, the key note speaker, Dr. Oscar Schoumans, Senior Scientist at Wageningen University and Research, presented the Tailor Made Soil-Crop Nutrition Tool, which was developed within the FERTIMANURE project. This tool revolutionises agricultural fertilisation by producing tailor-made fertilisers (TMFs). It calculates the ideal blend of manure, Bio-Based Fertilisers (BBFs) and mineral fertilisers to meet the precise nutrient needs of specific crops and soils.
